Furnace repair in Aurora and nearby towns
No heat, short cycling, a furnace that blows cold air or trips the breaker. Calls are answered around the clock from October to April.
$89 diagnostic, credited to the repair
Call right away if
Your carbon monoxide detector goes off, you smell gas, or the burner flame is yellow instead of blue. Leave the house first if the CO alarm is sounding, then call us or Nicor Gas from outside.
- The furnace runs but the air from the vents is cold
- It starts, runs for a minute and shuts off again
- Banging when the burners light, or grinding from the blower
- The thermostat calls for heat and nothing happens
At the visit
The technician reads the furnace error code, checks the igniter, flame sensor, pressure switch, gas valve and blower, and looks at the heat exchanger with a camera. You get the repair price on paper before any work starts.
If the heat exchanger is cracked or the flue is blocked, we shut the furnace off and leave it off. You get a written quote for the fix or a replacement that day.
What it costs
The diagnostic is $89 and comes off the repair if you go ahead. Common repairs in 2026: flame sensor cleaning $95 to $140, hot surface igniter $185 to $260, inducer motor $480 to $750. Visits after 7pm, on Sundays or on holidays add $95, written on the work order before the technician is sent.
Warranty
Repairs carry a 1-year parts and labor warranty. New parts also keep the manufacturer warranty, which we register for you.

“Furnace quit around 9pm on a Sunday in January with the temperature at 4 degrees. I called at 9:15, the on-call tech phoned back about ten minutes later and was in our driveway by 10:30. It was the igniter. He had one on the truck, showed me the cracked one, and the heat was running by 11. The $95 after-hours charge was on the paper before he started. Not cheap for a Sunday night, but no surprises.”
